What The Daily Bread is

“Give us this day our daily bread.” The name is taken from the prayer the Lord taught, and the intent is the same: enough for today, asked for today. Each reading is built to be finished in a few minutes — before work, over a meal, or last thing at night — and to leave you with one thing worth carrying into the day rather than a page of notes.
